When I told someone that I wanted to start a blog and ask what was the best way to start they kindly stated, "Talk about what your are passionate about". Well, for me that is like going to a buffet and told to only choose one item.  But if I had to narrow down my passions into one thing it would by Creativity!  Creativity touches every part of our lives from what we will wear to how to handle conflict.  I believe we were all created to be creativity.  To contribute to the world at large our talents, personality, and experiences in a way that moves people to live better lives.  For many years of my life, I worked in the hospitality industry, and coming up with creativity ways to handle guest issues was my "thing".  The ability to make something that will solve a problem or will move people to action is pretty dope!

We often think of creativity as being reserved for artist, poets, and actors, but God has placed in all of us the ability to create...just like Him.  Create strong families, productive communities, and empowered youth (along with pretty dope designs!)  Creativity flows with how we think then how we speak.  The way we think is the foundation to everything we do. For as a person thinks in their heart, so they are (Proverbs 23:7). In the book by James Allen, "As A Man Thinketh" he says, "He who cherishes a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his heart, will one day realize it." Positive thinking creates positive outcomes, even in not so great environments.  With correct thinking comes correct speaking.  A "verbal tapestry" of ideas, concepts, and plans that have the empowerment to succeed. Speaking words of affirmation over your kids and spouse creates for them a day knowing they are loved, regardless what the days holds. Now I am not naive, things in life will go wrong sometimes, I have had designs start off well, but end up in "file 13", but due to my confidence in the God-given ability to create, I can start again with a determination the next one will be great...and guest what, 99.9% it is!

Helping people to discover their creative side is one of the joys of this job.  Start today creating a mindset that will not be low, but focus on your were created by God to do great things and make the world around you that more beautiful!
